Legal Advice- Removing Parents?
I am a 23 year old and no longer have a relationship with my parents and do not ever want one again. I have a good friend of mine and my boyfriend who I have designated on my living will and medical power of attorney. My question is, what other legal documents do I need to keep them from having any rights in the event something happened to me? I have a few medical issues and it worries me that if something happened to me they would completely take over. Will my medical power of attorney be all they need? Also, is there a way to designate a next of kin legally so that they aren’t notified if something happened to me? I want to completely abolish the relationship I had with them and will complete any legal forms to do so. Please help!
So how do I assign someone else?
How do I access legal forms to change my last name, court house will not tell me how to get the forms?
I live in MO. My local court house tells me that they don’t have the forms, and that they are not available online- that I have to get an attorney or do the research myself. I don’t understand this, they have to have this paperwork available somewhere don’t they?
Anyone know how I can find these forms? Thank you.
Is paying for the forms seriously the only way to get them?
Jay the first link doesn’t work.
are there any forms for a last will and testament that are legal for americans living in?
that would be accepted by philippine law
Does a Living Will have to be a legal document?
Hello, I was wondering if a living will has to be like an official form or can it be like a piece of paper (i.e. a napkin or simple blank paper) that states what you want to be done if you are terminally ill.
What legal rights are there?
For same-sex couples that live in a state that allows same-sex marriage what legal rights are they gaining by marrying? The Federal government does not recognize same-sex marriages so the only rights would be State rights, correct? Even if they get married legally in their State they cannot apply jointly on a Federal Tax form, right? They can’t apply for social security together, or get survivor benefits, right?
So what is gained legally, not socially but legally, by getting married?
What about places like DC that will now recognize same-sex marriages from other states. What is gained legally?
