PostHeaderIcon How will living in a spiritual body be different from living in the body we have now & how will it be the same?

We all know our loved ones that are in heaven right now once had bodies just like we have right now(physical bodies) and when they died they left their body and now they live as a spirit.

How will things be different living as a spirit and how will they be the same like living in the human body.
What things will be different living in the spirit body that wasn’t different living in the physical body.

PostHeaderIcon Preparing a living will?

How do I go about doing so? Do I need a lawyer?
Also, can I put in it something like, if medical condition A occours DNR unless expected life quality is such and such, like certain clauses, stipulations, & such?
Also, if I were to pass, what documents would I need to delegate my belongings to certain persons, a will? Could I put care for my dog/s in my will? (if not, then where) Like who should care for them and by what standards they should be cared for? Can I make a living will for my dog in the event something tragic occurs and I am allready deceased?
I’m 20 and live in West Virginia, married and no children, except my dog if any of that matters.

PostHeaderIcon Mother-in-Law just passed away from cancer, no living will?

My loving Mother-in-Law just passed away on mothers day after a long battle with breast cancer. Me and my husband flew to NY (our hometown) to be there to comfort his Sister and family. His sister has lived in his mothers house her whole life, and later moved into the redone basement with her husband and children. After the funeral on friday everyone decided to speak about there mother and my fiance (the oldest brother 29) is the most responsible one and wanted to see what was going on with the house now that his mother is gone. IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE for his sister and her family to afford the house (being that her husband is a lazy **** and wont work full-time) and she explained to my husband that there was NO living will, and that she is keeping the house, and there is 10k in his mothers savings which will be used for repairs and emergencies for the house….Now me,my husband and the rest of the family know they will completely destroy the house (as they did the once beautiful downstairs basement) and wind up losing it. She has already been using money out of his moms bank account, and there are also mutual funds supposably…he tried talking to her and trying to see what mom said, wrote or if there was a will and she gets VERY defensive and says “There is no will, the money that was moms is going to be used on the house, thats it”. What in the world should my husband do? there are so many people this past week staying over that house trying to probably mooch off his sister and see if they can get something out of his Mom’s death. People are so heartless, and all my husband wants to know is if there is anything he can do? Has anyone been threw this or have any idea what actions to take or what to expect? thank you

PostHeaderIcon In my living Will, can I write to give my debts to a certain person or people?

If I am writing a living will, do I have to get it certified by a lawyer? Or if there is nothing, will just a personally written and signed letter work?

Essentially, I would like to write something to the extent of: “In the event of my death, my assets go to [this person] and my debts go to [that person].” Can I do that? I just want to cover all my bases. Who knows what will happen tomorrow or any day? Anything could happen, I could trip over a cord and die, or I could be murdered. I’d like to give my debts to the people I hate and my assets to someone I care about, or a charity.
good answers so far; one thing is that if I don’t write anything, then currently my assets and debts will go to no one, and no one would be obligated to pay for the funeral either. Feel free to ask if you have more questions, and I will add the answer as “add more detail”, and then you can edit your answer to include any further correspondence.

PostHeaderIcon Living Will? Advance Directives? Who Knows?

I am a single mom. I know I may sound so paranoid but it bothers me every day, literally, that if something were to happen to me and I were to die or even just become unable to take care of my child on my own, such as becoming paralized, brain dead etc… what would happen to my kid? Would my family automatically get him if no legal father is on file? would he become property of state and auctioned off? I would like specific orders of who gets him and what I want done with my life insurance regarding him. would I use a living will? advance directive or just a will period? Let me know. Thanks folks!
