PostHeaderIcon How can I make my living will override my life insurance?

I have SGLI (Servicemember’s Group Life Insurance), and I want everything I have/will earn to go to someone other than who I listed as beneficiaries.

My girlfriend will have my son in 4 months. So can I make it so that all my money goes to him when he’s born if I die before then? And I can’t contact the SGLI office, I want to write a will saying “If I were to die, I would like all my money/future monetary earnings to go to my son”. Will this legally override who I put on my SGLI form?

In short I want everything to go to my son when he’s born if I died before then and nothing to go to who I PREVIOUsly stated for all my money to go to. Will it be legal or will they say “Oh well he’s not on the SGLI so these people get the money instead”?
So would it legally override what I put on my insurance forms?? I just want to make sure

PostHeaderIcon i really need help… important, life changing?

i am moving out of home…very long story

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AnxXs7PanF.__PF17hPd9fDsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080803012531AAeLI38

theres the explaination from a question i asked a while ago…

anyway,
my mother has decided to just TELL me, im not going.
its not her right to do so, as she is the reason i am leaving.
i need to get through my HSC and i cant do it in these conditions.
i need a stable home.

but to enroll in the school i need to get a parent to enroll me.
if i want to cut my fees from $4000 to about $2000 a year and be able to sign permission forms and stuff i need them both to sign a form making the people i’m living with my legal guardians.
i will be paying school fee’s out of centrelink youth allowance… $355 a fortnight, which is $200 a fortnight gone. it would be really helpful to get the fee’s cut but not absolutely necessary, i just really need to get enrolled and i dont know how it will happen.

the principal said thats what i have to do, but i dont know how.

not hard to understand…
but you need to read the other bit… it’s changes everything.
i understand she may be worried about me.
but she is mentally unstable and if i stay i wont pass my HSC i just know it…

she drove off and left me at work the other night, then acted all happy friendly in the car when she FINALLY decided to come back.
…and it was my fault…

she wont listen, i tried to talk to her this afternoon.
she’s just decided in her hear its not happening.

she sees a councillor once a week. its not helping.
she wont listen
plus, my mum never will respect my decsions unless they are the ones she forces on me.
thankyou for all your answers.
but the reason it is important to read the other information is it explains my situation and everything.
i AM continuing school and going on to uni and everything. its why i need to move. to get the marks…
i had already arranged everything. i have a room fully furnished (new…) and i have spoken with centrelink and am elligable for the ‘unreasonable to live at home’ youth allowance.
i am lucky enough to have a safe place to be and they dont want money for food or board or anything.

i cant live with my dad and step mother… read other info.
step mother bipolar, dad depressive. dad said he doesnt love me anymore and wont support me and stepmother tried making him choose between me and her once. calling me a slut etc cos i didnt like something she showed me in a shop.
i have no where to be here. i need stability but i need that permission to enroll at school…
